Given the following:
Within folder2 is link1.xls;Within folder3 is master1.xls which has links to C:\folder1\folder2\link1.xls
I want to copy c:\folder1 as C:\folder4.
The result is c:\folder4\folder2\folder3
Within C:\folder4\folder2 is now link1.xls; Within C;\folder4\folder2\folder3 is master1.xls
The problem is in C:\folder4\folder2\folder1\master1.xls the links STILL point to C:\FOLDER1\Folder2\ink1.xls and have to be manually maintained (or the old link1.xls being opened and copied into the new directory)
Is there any way to structure links so that they stay RELATIVE (e.g., master1.xls links always point only to the excel files in the folder directly above it)?
