I am still what confused on the issue as most people seem to think that this is not an issue; &nbsp;however there are a significant number of writings that deal with the issue less as a statistical issue and rather are reporting instances of duplicates. &nbsp;Does anyone have anything else to contribute?

I have read that MSSQL GUIDS have a possiblity of repeating and the chance of repeating becomes higher every time the server is restarted. &nbsp;Is this something to be realistically concerned about. &nbsp;I am designing a database where the unique identifier has to be unique among all tables. &nbsp;The column will not be the primary key. &nbsp;Will the GUID work in this instance?
