SSRS 2008 with SQL Server 2005 CRM Database

Windows Server 2003.
MS CRM 4 with SQL Server 2005 running multiple instances/organizations.

The above setup is all working fine.

I installed SSRS 2008 (SQL Server Reporting Services) and configured it. When I set an instance of CRM to use SSRS 2008, running reports I get the code below. Any ideas and help would just be fantastic.

If I set the instance to use the 2005 Report Server, it works fine.
Server Error in '/' Application.

Thanks rrjegan17, but I did come across those and they didn't help. I increased all timeouts I could find to hours... but the error gets spit out in about two mins, so they didn't help.

I will add, also, that I'm running out-of-the-box CRM reports, not any custom ones.

You encounter errors with SSRS configurations only.

In the MS CRM Deployment Manager, if I set the instance to use the SQL Server 2005 Reporting Server (i.e. http://localhost/ReportServer), reports work fine.

If I set the instance to use the SQL Server 2008 Reporting Server, I get the error when running reports (i.e. http://localhost/ReportServer2008).

If you had SSRS 2005 earlier, then it would use the TCP port 80..
If you have installed SSRS 2008 later, then you need to configure it to listen on some other port say 8080 to make it work. Try

http://localhost/ReportServer2008:8080

I had a similar problem where the error message was Execution 'random string' cannot be found.

I discovered I had to change a delegation setting on the computer account for the SQL Server.

In Active Directory, open the computer account for the SQL Server and for Windows 2008 AD, click on the Delegation tab and ensure that "Trust this computer for delegation to any service (Kerberos only)" is ticked OR for Windows 2003 AD, click on the General Tab and ensure that "Trust computer for delegation" is ticked.

Hope this helps you out.

Update is, the servers have been shutdown! I'm hoping they will be brought back up by week's end for me to test this...

Ok, the dev environment is back up and I'm testing again!

rrjegan17, I've tried ReportServer2008 on port 8080 and I get the same error.

feridun, I've set the delegation settings as per your steps and I get the same error also.

So again, I'm stumped.

I found this comment in the CRM Planning Guide, I'm not sure if it is relevant to you. I also wonder whether having reporting services on 2008 SQL is supported for a CRM database on SQL Server 2005.

When a user who belongs to multiple organizations within a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 deployment executes a report, the report executes correctly only if it is executed against that user's default organization. To avoid problems that can arise from this, make sure that you use the same deployment of SQL Server Reporting Services for each organization in your Microsoft Dynamics CRM deployment.
Unfortunately we haven't been able to resolve this one. We are looking at other options - brand new server / other options of advanced calendar reporting / etc.

Thanks for your efforts.
