Remote Desktop connection not connecting.

I am an admin with over 100 PC's. I use RemoteDesktop daily on my local network, from PC to PC, PC to server and through VPN clients from home.  I recently purchased a new PC from Dell,  and am unable to connect to it using Remote desktop.  Windows firewall is disabled, it's on the same LAN, same subnet, remote settings in Control Pannel are enabled.  All PC's are running the same version of McAfee AV. When connecting to the new PC the "Configuring remote session" window opens, I check the box to allow connections to remote PC and then the "Configuring Remote session" window dissapears,  no error.  I have tried this from multiple PC's, all of them act the same.  They can all connect to one another but not to the new PC.  I have searched MS knowedgebase briefly, but though someone might have had the same issue here.

Thanks Chris

Check which users are allowed to connect in the Remote Desktop Settings tab on the PC in question.

User is an admin on the PC & a member of the remote users group in XP.
I had this same issue, I had to make a custom RDP port to connect to, I did it to 3392

either that or completely turn off the windows firewall, goto the advanced section under network properties and uncheck the box next to local are connection
Is the terminal server service running?

I'll check the TS service and if that isn't the issue I'll change the port. thanks for the responses.  Back after lunch.
Also you didn't mention which OS you are using?  As each OS has its own particular issues, that may tweak something for someone, and give you a little better answer.

Can you also check to see which version of RDP is installed on the problem PC?  You may want to ensure that you aren't dealing with Server Authentication issue options, or TS Gateway options.  These are options in TSClient 6.1+

TS service is running.  changed the port to 3393 & got an error.  at least that is something.  When attempting to connect with the new port number I recieved the same error you get when the control pannel box to allow remote connections isn't checked.
did you remember to change the port number in the registry?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\Portnumber
