I am new to MFC, but have been programming Windows for many years.  I have a dialog based MFC application.  I would like to add a custom control to the dialog box, and I can't quite figure out how this is done.  In the dialog box editor I can add a "Custom Control", but I need to give it a window class, and I cannot figure out how to create a new MFC window class.  Do I even need to do this, or is there some way to use one of the built in classes.  I want a window over which I have full control, and am able to handle all window messages.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
