Dell E6500 bsod when undocking

I have a Dell E6500 that is getting a BSOD when the user undocks it.  The error code is 0x00000044 (0x8576008, 0x00000064, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).  This is on Windows XP SP3.  Suggestions?

First eliminate any hardware issues.

Try a different docking station, and check that docking station on a different laptop

2) If not hardware then get the latest Dell drivers and see if they are any help.

I hope this helps !

We had tried the different docking station previously.  No change.  Also tried updating video driver, chipset driver, and bios.  It still gave a BSOD on undocking, but a new code.  This time it was 0x0000008e (0xc------5, 0x0022a82d, 0xa72d8c64, 0x000000000)
If still under warranty call Dell
Otherwise, it could be a motherboard issue

Oddly enough, a day or so later, the user got a dialogue when undocking that they had not received previously asking if the wanted to save the new settings.  And, presto, success!

Thanks!
