In IE8 web browser, if you open a web page which sets a cookie based on what you entered, say customer1 and then if you open another browser tab in that browser, it automatically inherits that COOKIE FROM THE FIRST TAB.

But if you open a File-> "New Session" this DOES NOT inherit.

The need is , when you open another browser tab, it should not inherit that  COOKIE FROM THE FIRST TAB.

Any input welcome.

You have little control over this. Depending on the language you are using, you might want to consider adding a key, unique to each "login", that is attached to all links and forms on all pages that the link is relayed to. This is only initiated after a log in, so if no 'key' is passed to a page (as it wont on a new tab) then it will take you to a log in prompt.
