Windows Explorer Slow

Now this is an odd annoyance.  When I start up Windows Explorer it takes 5-7 seconds for the window to pop up.  When I use the 'Computer' shortcut on the desktop it's almost instantaneous.  As far as I know they're both using the same component, and this was not an issue with Windows 7 RC.

I am using the option  'shell:MyComputerFolder' to go directly to 'Computer' in Windows Explorer, but even the default Windows Explorer shortcut takes at least 3 seconds to show up (I know, nit-picky, but still...).

Any ideas?
