sbs 2003 logon issue

SBS error msg on start up server does not even get to ctrl del to enter password
Directory services could not start because of the following error. the specified network password is not correct error  0xc000006a

Looks like one of your services requires re-adding the password. Or setting it to system login. Load up in safemode and read event logs. It should tell you the service. Once found, google your way to find the correct account to use for it =)

000006a means invalid password. So the Directory Services service or one of its dependencies could be set to use an invalid user and or password.

This can also happen of the system time is incorrect.

Also if you have had hardware changes.  Have there been any other issues we should be aware of?

I have done a restore from backup which Backup Exec reported as good. Event logs do not give any clues as to which service is causing the issue
