When he comes into work in the morning , if you move the mouse or tap on a key on the keyboard, the pc should wake up and he can then log back on and continue whatever work he was doing from home<br />

but this pc just does not wake up , the only way to resolve this is a forced shutdown and re-start<br />

The user might try logging off to see if that is at the root of the problem. There is not enough information here to know whether procedure is a problem or whether the office PC is a problem. As a test, ask the user to disconnect and not use it for an evening. Then see whether the office PC is locking up all by itself. ... Thinkpads_User<br />
