PC locks up after RDP
Hi,
I have a user who remotes into the office pc from home, whenever he remotes in from home he can connect fine. When he comes into work the next day and tries to log onto his PC everything is locked up, blank black screen and moving the mouse or hitting keys on the keyboard wont wake the pc, need to hold the power button in and shut it down that way, can anyone help ?

Is the user properly logging off at home (logging off the remote machine)? Many users do not. ... Thinkpads_User

he should't need to log off from home.
When he comes into work in the morning , if you move the mouse or tap on a key on the keyboard, the pc should wake up and he can then log back on and continue whatever work he was doing from home
but this pc just does not wake up , the only way to resolve this is a forced shutdown and re-start

The user might try logging off to see if that is at the root of the problem. There is not enough information here to know whether procedure is a problem or whether the office PC is a problem. As a test, ask the user to disconnect and not use it for an evening. Then see whether the office PC is locking up all by itself. ... Thinkpads_User
