Recurring mtgs in Outlook. Cannot read one instance of this recurring appointment
Hi Experts,
We recently moved one mailbox from an exchange 2003 server to an exchange 2007 server, and the moved was fine, however, the user and his delegated are unable to open re-occuring meetings for his calendar.
Basically, the executive assistant of the user got this error:
Cannot read one instance of this recurring appointment. Close any open appointments and try again, or recreate the appointment. Outlook freezes, and she have to shut it down.
Any ideas?

Check that Cached Exchange Mode is not on.
Can do so under
Tools>Account Settings>Open Users Account Details
Under Exchange Server Name, Untick "Use Cached Exchange Mode"
Close and reopen Oultook

As I said, Cached mode works fine, online mode does not work
Use Exchange in cached mode, is not an option at the moment
Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance

Actually, to be fair you never said anything about cached mode.
Perhaps the reason it appears to work fine in cached mode but not in online mode is because this appointment has been cached.
Ie exists in the user OST but not in the PST or Mailbox.
What Outlook client it being used?
Outlook 2003
Outlook 2007
What Office service Packs Are installed?
If its just one instance of the recurring appointment, would it be possible to just delete the recurring appointment or set and end date to the appointment and recreate it?

Hi Apache09.
Thanks for the update
Below are my comments:
Users are running Outlook 2007 and all my servers are running Exchange 2007 SP2. The interesting thing here is, that all users are able to open any recurring meetings through OWA and Outlook in cached mode, but they are unable to open any recurring meeting, no matters y they create a new one or an existing recurring meeting, the results are the same
I suspect that something is wrong with the mailbox server
Any ideas?
