How can I delete an AD user and recreate while keeping the same Exchange mailbox?

I'm using Exchange 2003 and Windows Server 2003.

Basically I messed around with a bunch of delegated permissions for an AD account and want to undo the changes I made. The easiest way to do this is to simply recreate the AD user from a template rather than trying to undo all the changes I have made.

The problem is that I want to make sure the user keeps their same Exchange mailbox.

Can somebody tell me how to go about doing so?
