I have an MSA1000 which had 4 300Gb HDs with a total storage capacity of 572 GB plus one hot spear which I use to feed my VMWare ESXi server.  I added 2 more 300GB hard drives but the capacity did not change.   After physically adding the drives I ran an EXPAND command (Expand unit 0 disk 101-disk 103 disk201-disk203) which updated lun 0 with the additional drives.   After it processed I ran an ADD command to add a hot spear (Add spare unit=0 disk104).  The strange thing is that my capacity didnt change and I need to have excess capacity to run the Extend command.

Here is the current configuration:
Unit 0:
In PDLA mode, Unit 0 is Lun 1; In VSA mode, Unit 0 is Lun 0.
