I need to be able to scan inserted rows into a table and set a column to NULL when the inserted column is set to -1.  I've come up with the trigger below, but am wondering if I'm on the right track or is there is a better way to do it.
CREATE TRIGGER dbo.bill_history_composite_bi
   ON  dbo.bill_history_composite
  FOR INSERT,UPDATE
AS
BEGIN
	SET NOCOUNT ON;
	IF (SELECT demand_kwh from inserted)=-1
	THEN
		SET demand_kwh=NULL

END
