I have a WD NAS drive, and its plaguing me. When ever i try to delete certain folders and their contents it gives me an Access Denied error. I looked it up and best i can find is DOS commands but none of them work. I need to delete these files.

If i type DIR J:\xFile\ i can view the contents. If I try and delete, it still gives me access denied.

I don't know DOS, but presume its probably my best course of action. SO.... I presume the easiest way to handle this is to force a change on the permissions / access rights to the folder, and all sub directories and files. Then try delete them.

My Question: How do i force the change on permission to the folder and contents in the mapped drive? Then, will a simple rmdir command remove this directory and its contents? I'm on Vista by the way..

Thanks in advance

Jody
