Here's the situation: SBS2003 with C:/ partition with OLD Data shares that were moved to another partition - H:/.
C:/ needs to be cleaned up so I am removing the old data to a backup USB device. Problem just arose when I looked inside one folder (that was shared, no longer) and found a SHARED folder that looks like it links directly to another Share on the new partition. IT's NOT a shortcut rather when I click on it, it goes directly to the H:/ drive where the data currently is in use.
So my problem/question is this - I want to remove all the old engineering data from the C:/ drive and clean it up but don't want to ruin anything with the other share. I have added a picture to show you what I mean. So, what recommendations are there?
The Central share is backed up daily so nothing will be lost, but just want to be sure I am not going to ruin anything by getting rid of this original folder.
Hope I expressed my confusion and question ok. If not, let me know and I'll do my best to explain further. Thanks for your help with this experts! server-issue.bmp
