Office 2007 AutoCorrect Issues

If you want an AutoCorrect entry available for use in multiple Office products, do you have to create it in each one?  Seems like it used to be if you created it in one, it was available for all.  Also, Can you create a formatted AutoCorrect entry in PowerPoint 2007, e.g. H2O with the 2 subscripted?  I can do it in Word but it doesn't seem to work for PowerPoint,
