Viewing remote desktop screens

Hi Experts,
Can somebody recommend - preferably a free solution - that allows managers / supervisors or staff in training to view but not control a remote windows computer? Would prefer something that does not require port forwarding / knowing the clients IP address. So possibly a web service where both parties have to log in. Client side software is windows. Viewer side should work on linux and windows.

This will be used for training / supervising staff / presentations.

Also.. is there a program that will take random screenshots of a staffs computer throughout the day and somehow send them to the supervisor at the end of the day?

Thanks in advance,
 Martin

XP and other later windows OS's have remote assistance options that the end user has to allow a level of access (view or interact w/ desktop). You do have to know what computer you want to connect to. It is included in most if not all the later os versions from MS. GoTomyPC, Webex, etc.. all have this function, but require some level of payment after trial I think. General rule of thumb. The simpler to use, the more expensive the product when it comes to this kind of application. Webex and gotomypc are simple becuase you and the end user meet up at the same place. Free tool, Vyew, www.vyew.com might be something to check out. Good luck
