MS SCOM 2007 does not show new servers in "Pending Management".
Greetings.
I am running SCOM 2007 and have noticed that the system is not picking up new servers as they are added to the network. In MOM 2005, anytime we brought up a new system, it would show up in "Pending Management" and then I could deploy an agent to it. This functionallity seems to no longer work in SCOM 2007...OR...... am I just missing something in the way I have set the system up?
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

You need to set a security setting in the Administration pane=> settings=> security. You can select to"Reject all new manual installed agents", Review new manuals installed agents in pendinge management"and the Auto approve option.

Thanks for the reply . Could you possibly clarifiy this for me.  Right now I have "Review new manual installed agents in pending management view" selected.  Auto-approve is not selected. My issue is that, MOM2005 used to do an auto discovery that would populate the Pending Management group. If I brought up a new server, it show up in that group. Then I could decide whether or not to deploy an agent. Currently, my installation of SCOM 2007 doesn't auto-populate the Pending Management group.

Thanks,
Mark
