Yes, you can set any mail server as the smtp smart host in CUE, whether it is your on local mail server or a hosted one. Just be sure that the hosted service provider allows a relay from your public IP address. Some hosted services provide a different mail host just for relay purposes.

I currently have CME/CUE configured on a Cisco 2811 Router. &nbsp;We are decommissioning our exchange server and going to a hosted Exchange for email. &nbsp;Will CUE work with hosted exchange? &nbsp;I still want all users to get their voicemails in their outlook. &nbsp;From the CLI in unity express, can I just specify the IP of the hosted exchange server, like below? &nbsp;If I can't do it via public address can I do via site-to-stie VPN? &nbsp;Thanks<br />
