I'm going to go ahead and accept this as the solution, because I have no way of checking it out now. I had to connect up my monitor to my Acer netbook because I had a computer to crash trying to install Ubuntu.<br />

I bought this thing because it was wide screen but it won't display wide screen except in ubuntu 9.1 I only discovered that it would do that when I ran Ubuntu off a cd. Now there must be drivers for it on the Ubuntu CD so I must be able to do the same thing in Windows but how? Can anybody give me a link to a driver or tell me how otherwise to set it up so I get wide scren?<br />
