According to Canon (http://www.usa.canon.com/app/pdf/Windows7_compatibility.pdf), the EOS utility is not available for Windows 7 to view images on the Canon EOS 10D.

Are you saying it doesn't even recognize it as a drive, so you cannot transfer files? Because it should still be able to do that, without any additional drivers, etc.

Have you tried using an external card reader, to see if it can recognize the card and transfer files that way?

Use the ones for Vista.They should work....(until new ones get released)....

I tried the ones for Vista, but the computer cannot even connect to the camera as a drive.   I removed the CF card and it connects fine via a USB reader.   I can download images from it but I have to remove it from the camera first.   While this does not seem like a hassle, I use the camera frequently at work and need to download a small number of images several times a day.   The firmware is up to date in the camera.   Any other suggestions?

I understand there is some way to run XP alongside Win 7 for programs that do not work under Win 7.   How does that work?

i also have win 7 x64 and a don't have problem with drivers at all. i have printer, scanner... and all problem a solve with automatic update for  drivers . just go to the device and then go right click, properties, update drivers and he will give you new drivers automatically or will open the site of that specific driver you need

Like hell it will....I am stuck with trying to get WIA drivers that support Benq S2W scanner.None work,not even remotely.MiraScan will not work in compatibility mode....

I have searched extensively for a driver for this camera, without success.   I have a work-around that is OK for me, but is not a real solution.   I use an Eye-Fi card in a CF adapter.   This uploads the images to my computer by Wi-Fi.
