Still cannot install TextAloud 2.314 due to Access Violation Errors

I applied the very promising solution offered by DBrunton of Experts-Exchange and was SO optimistic about that solution that I graded it A and offered 500! I STILL think it was an excellent procedure, it just didn't work to solve my original issue. It DID give me a heads-up re a GREAT application for keeping my Registry healthy.

BUT, how do I get TextAloud installed??? I use it in my work. It has in fact become an integral part of HOW I work.

Any suggestions, anyone?

What setting is selected for DEP?

Hello flubbster: Apologies for the delay in my response to you.

Answer: DEP is turned on Only for essential Windows Programs and Services.

Thank you SO much for looking into this matter for me. I appreciate your time.

Peace and Love to You,
I would try turning on dep for all except the program giving you trouble. Before trying that however, give this top-rated free registry cleaner a shot.

OK. Thank you. I'll do precisely as you suggest.

Wowzers! The REgistry Cleaner you suggested found 3,531 errors; after repair 6 remain.

I changed DEP as suggested, placing an exception on TextAloudMP3.exe

Then, just to see I tried running TA again, but experienced same error, ie
AppName: textaloudmp3.exe       AppVer:       ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.3541       Offset: 00012a6b

TA Support suggests -- uninstalling and downloading install file again after making certain an essential updates are in place.

However, now IE6 won't open. It fails with the following errors:
EventType : BEX     P1 : iexplore.exe     P2 : 6.0.2900.2180     P3 : 41107b81
P4 : dbghelp.dll     P5 : 5.1.2600.2180     P6 : 4110969a     P7 : 000112de
P8 : c0000409     P9 : 00000000
That is strange. Try starting it without any add-ons:

Right-click the IE icon on the desktop and select start without add-ons.

Does it work?
also, reset the DEP back to the original setting since it did not fix the main issue.

1.) When I right-click on the IE desktop icon, I am not given the option to start without add-ons (see screenshot attached) Note: I'm running Win/XP-Pro SP2 (No SP3 due to SP3 install issue: "Access Denied")

2.) I reset the DEP to back the way I found it.
