Adding links to an array?

We are building an agent to notify us when documents are updated on a notes database. The database is used to maintain a list of sanctioned clients. The agent will run several times a day and build an email of clients that are added and dropped from the list. This email will go to management. The requirement is to present an email that groups the clients by activity (added to the list vs dropped from the list)
AND sort them by client & account (each client can have many accounts) with a link for each to the document involved. (see example below). The rub is the engineer is telling me that he can't add a link to the array he's using for sorting. For now I've suggested he sort the data via the view he's using as input, maybe that's not workable I don't get to see his code. Is it really impossible to add a link to an array for sorting? Thanks!

Example:
Added
client1 - account123, link
client1 - account456, link
client2 - account432, link

Dropped, would look similar.

...one called Added and the other Dropped...
There are many, many ways to sort data.  Your developer is simply being lazy.

Indeed. If he still won't show the code, tell him you intend to download the Domino Designer client, or better still, that you think of asking for a code review (if you want to hang him out to dry...).
