Wireless Network Management/Control

I work for a school system and our management wants to be able to allow students to bring in their own personal laptops/phones/whatever they dream up to be able to surf the web.  What is a good system for controlling access.  We want to be able to allow guest users only internet access without allowing them access to servers and other systems on the wired LAN, and at the same time be able to allow authenticated, legit teachers/admin staff to be able to access servers and whatever they need.  I just don't know what all is required to make a solution like this work.  We have some HP Procurve 420 WAP's and some Proxim AP4000 WAP's.  Will we need to replace/upgrade the WAP's we already have?  Just need guidance, because obviously money is important.

Thanks!!

You will need to set up VLANs.

I already have VLAN's set up with Inter-Vlan routing between VLAN's.  Wireless clients have their own VLAN

Commented:
create separate ssid's for each student/public/admins and then set up the vlans for each one.

Thanks jlknapp for the info.  When you say Access Lists, are you referring to mac address lists or something like that to control who can access the network?

For the public network, is it just as simple as routing that public ssid vlan to the gateway and no other vlan?

Thanks for any insight as I am new to the vlan proceedure
