Software image not working

I have a software which i have got from my friend which is already insatlled in one hard disk called all data.i connected this hard disk as secondary in my pc and tried to use that software but doesnt work .but my friend he is using same way he is making the image of the hard disk and connecting to other system and working properly.there is any chance to use like this.

You probably need the installation package. When you install a software on your computer, it doesn't only copy its data and executable files to your hard drive, but it normally creates a lot of registry keys and registers a lot of DLL files in your windows directory, and it also installs any prerequisites that might be needed for that software.

Your computer might be missing some of those DLLs and it is missing the registry keys for sure. You should either export the REG keys and find all the needed libraries and install them as well or just get the installation package.

i need to connect this hard disk which is having all software data in the pc as a secondary drive and use as my friend was using.with out using any extra software.what changes or commands we have to use in the the primary hard disk where the opertating system has been installed.

My friend was using Ghost software to make image to another hard disk but i dout that it can work withh other pc.
