I have a SQL Server 2005 maintenance plan that is supposed to delete old backups with a .bak extension but it only deletes the .bak files in the folder i specify not the sub folders within it.  I know at one point it used to delete the sub folders.  How can i get it to delete the old files in the sub folders as well because i have like 20 sub folders and i would prefer not to have to have 20 calls.  thanks.

Thanks.  I was not seeing that when i was looking at the maintenance plan from my management studio running on my pc.  i think i needed to do a service pack upgrade after reinstalling on my pc.
That's possible.  If you have management studio installed on the server, you could try opening the maintenance plan from there and see if you see the check box.
