Windows 7 - Shortcut to a Network Connection
My boss just bought a new PC with Windows 7. I set up a VPN network connection for him to our network.
In Windows XP, when you created the VPN connection, there was an option to place a
shortcut to the connection on the desktop. I didn't see this option when I created the connection
and cannot figure out how to create a network shortcut to it.
As it is now, I'd have to tell him to go to:
Start \ Control Panel \ Network and Sharing Center \ Connect to a network \ Choose our VPN
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

It was worth a shot, but when I click on the VPN icon, then an empty space in the address bar,
it remaints at Network and Sharing Center.

Thank you very much!

Why not navigate to your VPN just the way you said, then click on an empty space in the address bar. Copy and paste the path that comes up into a shortcut.
Again, I'm not completely familiar with VPNs, but that's generally how it works for everything else in my experience.
