Just a thought, because I haven't worked with VPNs before, but I'll give it a shot: &nbsp;<br />

Why not navigate to your VPN just the way you said, then click on an empty space in the address bar. &nbsp;Copy and paste the path that comes up into a shortcut. &nbsp;<br />

Again, I'm not completely familiar with VPNs, but that's generally how it works for everything else in my experience.

My boss just bought a new PC with Windows 7. &nbsp;I set up a VPN network connection for him to our network.<br />

In Windows XP, when you created the VPN connection, there was an option to place a<br />
shortcut to the connection on the desktop. &nbsp;I didn't see this option when I created the connection<br />
and cannot figure out how to create a network shortcut to it.<br />

As it is now, I'd have to tell him to go to:<br />

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Start \ Control Panel \ Network and Sharing Center \ Connect to a network \ Choose our VPN<br />
