can citrix launch log in script for AD?

I administer a novell based network with novell netware and active directory. i have two users who will be accessing an applicaiton in another domain that i do not administer, have access to, or have trusts set up in. they will be accessing the application via Citrix. in their log in scripts that are novell netware driven, they do not map a drive for this application. the domain that is being accessed does not use novell netware. they are a pure AD environment.

this is what i need: i need to know how to create ( a script or a policy?) that when accessing the application thru citrix, will test for the existence of the software on the workstation and then map the drive. the application will be run as an application and not presented as a desktop thru citrix. the domain controllers do not share info nor replicate.

how can this be done?

Citrix login is a terminal service login to the domain the Citrix server is in. Does this script need to be run from within the citrix environment? Your users can log into your domain, and then into the citrix server, meaning their scripts will run locally, and then whatever login scripts run in the other domain will run on the citrix server. Without access to the other domain, you will need to map the drive through your own network. If you map it as a local drive, at startup or have your users run a script before logging into citrix, you should be able to access it from within the Citrix application.

a few more details; it is a payroll app that is used by other divisions of the company-hence the no sharing. it was set up to map the drive but because the admin of the other domain did not want any other types of documents either stored or dumped on the drive, the mapping was removed. this is why the drive has to be mapped after launching citrix.
So, is the drive in the other domain?
yes. it will be accessing an app on a server in another domain via citrix.

you're correct. no ther access is needed to the other domain. i am working with the other admin, but it ain't always easy getting a good answer. you know how it goes. . .
Absolutely. It sounds like the other admin is being overly paranoid. With so many states adding data security legislation, especially to payroll data, it isn't really surprising. We just removed all of ours from the network, and put it on a closed LAN of its own to avoid the cost of otherwise necessary upgrades. I am still waiting for that usability nightmare to come around. Good luck.
thanks for your help and insight. you have given me some good background on citrix. from here, i'll just have to work with the other domain admin and hammer out a solution. thanks again.
