Repairing Outlook PST Files
Hello,
I recently posted a question where I was getting the following Error Code: ox80040116.
Following my discussion with a member here, I tried CHKDSK, Uninstall and Install Outlook, and Repair with Windows Disk.
Uninstall and reinstalling Offfice partly solved the problem. The error message dissapeared but the send and recieve would not work. It did the send and recieve but did not download the file, although it was showing that it was downloading the file. With further investigation I realised I could not copy the outlook.pst file nor could I do an export. From this I can only assume that it's a seriously corrupted outlook pst that's the cause of all this problem. Please correct me if I am wrong.
However, the last backup copied the corrupted pst file. Can anyone tell me how to recover from a coorected outlook.pst or how to get the data off?
By, the way it's Outlook 2003 on XP Pro.
Thanks.

It partially solved the problem. When I went to repair the pst file it asked me to do CHKDSK. Although CHKDSK did not solve the problem first time, it solve it on the second attempt.
