Some users suddenly discovers that printing from word 2003 does not work.
This is an annoying thing! Out of nowhere the printfunction just stops working in word 2003. The users are writing letters from a template that others are using as well but for some reason two of the users suddenly can't print the letter. A visual basic dialog says: (translated from swedish)
Microsoft visual basic: runtime error 5142.
Printing was not possible, try one of the following:
* Make sure the printer is on by printing a testprint from windows.
* Make sure the printer is connected and started.
* reinstall the printdriver.
This happens when the user is clicking on the printbutton in word or if he/she go to the File-menu and choose Print. The odd thing is that if the user press "CTRL+P" the document is printed!
I have removed all printers from the computers and the drivers, then reinstalled them. It does not help. Printing still does not work in word. (Though testing to print from excel works just fine and it did before i reinstalled the printers..)
I uninstalled office 2003, restarted the computer and reinstalled it and installed the office 2003 SP3 but there was no improvement.
Has anyone out there had this problem?
