mouse "sticks" when crossing monitors on a dual-monitor setup

Hi,

I've set up a multiple-monitor system and in general it works well. However, when I move my mouse from the left monitor to the right, I have to do it very quickly.  If I move it slowly, the pointer "sticks" at the border.  There must be some setting to control this, but I have no idea what it would be called or where to find it.  I have browsed through the ATI Catalyst Control Center software for my graphics card and do not see a setting for this.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kevin

Does it free up if you press the Windows Key?
Try the utility mentioned here:

Hi, my mouse sticks too. I'm not using media center. I have xp. they are viewsonic monitors & an nvidia quadro card. The third monitor I have up top seems to work just fine. Also there are 3 other stations with the exact same setup that all work fine. This station was working but something changed & now it sticks. It's so weird that if you get a running start the mouse cursor will go from the left monitor to the right & back but if you're moving slowly no dice. It just stops at the edge of the screen & never makes it onto the other monitor. Help.

Please post here if you find an answer.  I have the _exact_ same issue as you.

I figured it out. right click on the desktop & select the bottom option, settings or something. Then select the tab all the way on the right. It's like display settings or something. The same place where there's that slider bar where you can adjust your resolution. On that same window you'll see the visual image of your monitors. Up at the top it'll say "Drag the icons to match your monitors" Turns out if there's a gap between the monitors in that image then your mouse will hang when you go from one monitor to another. If you drag the pictures together so there's no gap then the mouse moves smoothly. Problem solved. Thanks for your help.
