Port Forwarding to DVR using 2WIRE 2701HG-B

Greetings,
We have a 2WIRE 2701HG-B Gateway Mode/Router  with Static Private IP of 192.168.1.254 with a dynamic WAN IP Setup. Private LAN DHCP Scope = 1.50 - 1.99
We have DVR that allows for Local and WAN Network Access (static private IP of 192.168.1.253).

The 2WIRE Gateway has been in use without any problems for 2 months.
The DVR is working correctly and can be access by computers inside the LAN.

The Problem is with the 2WIRE Gateway's inability to recognize the DVR in step 1  "Select a computer" when configuring "Pinholes" in the Firewall section of the Gateway Device.
The 2WIRE Device will recognize all other networked devices on the network - PC's with static or DHCP and 2 Network printers with static Private IP's.
I have already configured my user defined application and opened specific ports but cannot point it to my DVR.
I have not found a way to enter the static IP address of of the DVR...it appears that it must appear in the drop list in section 1.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you,

Thanks MikeKane,
That worked!....that's what I call "thinking outside the box (router)! While that "work around" worked, due to the lack of "control" that the 2Wire device exhibits I decided to place the 2Wire 2701HG-B into Bridge Mode and utilize a Buffalo Router to manage all LAN Side devices. Thanks again for responding and I appreciate your time.
