I am able to ping my server with no problems. I can log into it with no problems via remote desktop. i shut off the firewall. I have the DNS typed in correctly. I joined the domain without a problem.

However I can't see this server on my network.  Also when i try to click on any other computer it asks me for login name and password.

I am logged in as administrator so i shouldn't have this problem. Did i miss something?

it is a windows 2008 server
