Which Microsoft security update is causing the black screen issue? New November 2009

Several reports on the web that one of microsoft's recent security updates is causing computer screens to go black on WindowsXP, Vista and Windows 7. Which Microsoft update is causing the issue?

I have done all available updates (but not hotfix updates) on my XP Pro, Vista Business 64-bit and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit machines and no black screens on any of these machines. There was a Vista update today as well, and no issue. So I would say it is a hotfix or other special update causing the problem and not a general update (if it is a Microsoft update at all). ... Don't the "Several reports on the web that one of microsoft's recent security updates is causing computer screens to go black " tell what the problem update is?
Can you post the URL of one or more of those sites?

Consider these two procedures to diagnose the situation
)  Look into Event Viewer (Start|Administrative Tools|Event Viewer). Click on "System" in the left panel. Do you see RedBall error icon(s) timestamped at the exact time the problem occurred?   If so, click on the RedBall. The first message will have some data on what the problem is, but usually it is not too easy to understand. Click the blue go.microsoft.com link.  On the next window click the link to send a report to Microsoft.    Another window should open (though it may take some time for the information in the right panel to appear) which may offer some more understandable info and maybe even a solution.
2)  Run Process Explorer to see what other program may be causing the problem.

Hello, One of the links http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10406369-56.html
I have not applied the patches yet, but approved several for my company yesterday morning before I heard of the incident. No one here has reported the issue. I was hoping to prevent the problem here by unapproving the update that was causing the problem. It sounds as if no one knows which update or combination of updates is causing the issue yet. Thank you.

Hello, Yes read this one too, and many others. Still no confirmation from Microsoft?
Thank you.

And it seems the Prevx fix seems to work.
It appears that Microsoft denies that it is an issue with their updates. I guess only time will tell. Thank you all for your input.
