Laptop Docked

I have a Dell Latitude D630 with a docking station.   I sent it in to the Dell depot, they replaced the mother board to correct a video card issue.   I use a LAN cable hooked up to my network with a DHCP server..   when the LAN cable is plugged into the back of the Laptop it works fine.
When I dock it to the docking station and use the same cable from the dock it does not.
When docked it is like the ip is assigned static, cause when I do a ipconfig it comes up with a off the wll number like 192.258.255.258 with a gateway in the same range.  My DHCP is in the 10.1.1.50 range.   Could a profile be wrong or something in the mother board be telling it to assign static only when docked.   I was working fine before they replace the motherboard and I made no other changes.   Other Laptops work ok in this dock and this Laptop does the same thing in other docks so I know  it has to be something in the Laptop.  Dell service has no idea. what to do.  Help.
