Ok, here is the configuration.  On our development server we are running Windows server 2003, MOSS 2007,  WSS ver 12.0.6418.1000, & SQL 2005.

On our production system we are running Windows server 2008 (64-bit), MOSS 2008, WSS ver. 12.0.6217.1000, & SQL 2008.

What we are trying to do is run a migration from the development server over to the production server using stsadmin.

When we use stsadmin to backup from the development server and then try to restore to the production server we get the following message:

stsadm -o restore -url http://emergintsrv -filename c:\etievm1.dat -overwrite

Your backup is from a different version of Windows SharePoint Services and cannot be restored to a server running the current version. The backup file should be restored to a server with version '12.0.0.6421' or later.

Is there a way to do this, or do I need to upgrade my production server to same WSS version 12.0.6410.1000?

Are there other 'gotchas' here I need to be aware of?
