How can i add a file into the local settings folder when using Roaming Profiles consistantly in every session?
I'm trying to install a macro file into the roaming profile's local settings folder in order for it to work properly. Any ideas??
You should be able to copy it in during logon via script. We do that with a few files utilizing Kixtart. Upon logon a function within the logon script will look at the name of the computer being logged on to. If it is a Citrix server then we'll copy over a certain file from a shared location.

roaming profiles is not your answer. MS does not roam the local settings folder.
the answers above are options on how to put this file in place, you just have to make sure that profile is in place before the copy command.

How can I ensure that?
If you do it on USRLOGON.CMD the profile will already be loaded as the user is already logged in. No need to ensure anything at that stage.

a few options.
1. put the copy command at the end of the userlogon.cmd
2. put a batch file in the startup folder
3. put the copy at the end of the logon script. (a pause command can buy you extra time.
this will have to be tested.
