How do i change the column width for isql?
Hi,
I am using Sybase ASE 12.5.4 and I have an unusual problem with isql.
If I log on with sa and use isql -w999, the ouput from sp_who is nicely formatted.
However, if I log on with user1 and specify -w999, the output from sp_who isn't all formatted on 1 line like above?
Has anybody experienced this and know how to fix this? Im figuring it has something to do with the login because I specify -w999 for both logins and they format the results differently.
many thanks in advance.

like
isql -Usa -SSERVERNAME -w999
isql -Uuser1 -SSERVERNAME -w999
or you have created some os level alias?
it must be something related to login syntax issue because isql output should be same for both the user
