I have a MOSS 2007 farm - two front ends and a search. All the machines are running 2003 Ent SP2 with the latest MOSS updates.
We have a number of internal portals that are all working, but our external website which also runs on Sharepoint and uses anonymous access has stopped working.
We you try to connect you get a single text line: 401 Unauthorized. If we enable basic authentication in addition to anonymous the website works.
There doesn't appear to be anything usefull in any of the logs - all it reports is 401 Unauth.. there is no indication of what its trying to do when the error occurs.
Does anyone have any ideas on the cause of the problem, or how to extract some useful diagnostic information?
Thanks
