Windows 7 Drivers for Dell Precision 670

I have a Dell Precision 670 workstation running 64 bit Windows XP.
I am trying to do a clean install of Windows 7. Windows setup will not see the U320 controleer, and the 64-bit windows xp drivers won't work.

Have googled and trolled bulletin boards, the Adaptec site, and the Dell site, and cannot find a driver that Win 7 "likes".

Has anyone found a workable solution

Usually if the Windows 7 drivers don't work then the Vista ones will...doesn't look like that computer is even Vista compatible. I think it's time for a new box if you want to run 7. Just a thought...or get xp running again and run windows 7 on Virtual PC.

You got me really close to the needed drivers. I tried using the ones you pointed to, and they failed.
However, I did a fast search on that adpatec page for AIC7901, and was taken to a page that had the one I needed.

He got me to where I needed to get the correct driver

Looks like that driver has gone from adpatec's website
download.com has it thought and it worked for me:
