Change the width of listings in category blog layout

In Joomla 1.5, is there a way to change the width of articles that are displayed in a category blog layout? My problem is, at the moment they only take up half of the available width on the page and it looks terrible. Can anyone help?

here's the url: http://gator967.hostgator.com/~tekspec/taste/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=36&Itemid=55

Hi,

I have faced the same problem one time. See the link.

http://www.fowlarch.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=17&Itemid=6

I have changed like that.

components\com_content\views\category\tmpl

in that u can edit the file to modify the default view.

OK I have found the file, what code should I be changing to utilize the full width of the page?

Alternatively, each item side by side would be even better.

Just alter the <tr> and <td>.

No matter what I change, it doesn't seem to change the layout whatsoever.

I am trying to display 2 articles, one next to the other. They are the same length but no matter what I try they stack on top of each other.

Here is an interesting related post: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=431&t=304719&start=0

although the solution didn't seem to work for me either, I wonder if something else is causing the problem?
