MS Exchange 2007

I repeatedly get eventid: 2142 and 2501 and they look like this.
2142: MSExchange ADAccess
Process IISIPM779744C5-579B-42B3-AAAF-75C19C5AFD08 -AP "MSEXCHANGEOWAAPPPOOL (PID=2332). Topology discovery failed, error 0x8007077f.

2501: MSExchange ADAccess
Process MSEXCHANGEADTOPOLOGY (PID=1436). The site monitor API was unable to verify the site name for this Exchange computer - Call=DsGetSiteNameW Error code=800703e5. Make sure that Exchange server is correctly registered on the DNS server.

I have one exchangeserver 3 AC/GC servers in two sites. Output from policytest is.

===============================================
Local domain is "domain1.no" (DOMAIN1)
Account is "DOMAIN1\Exchange Enterprise Servers"
========================
  DC      = "SERVER3"
  In site = "Site1"
  Right found:  "SeSecurityPrivilege"
========================
  DC      = "SERVER6"
  In site = "Site1"
  Right found:  "SeSecurityPrivilege"
========================
  DC      = "NEUSAAD"
  In site = "Site2"
Right found:  "SeSecurityPrivilege"

Dnsdiag dont give me anything either.

I have a setup wher I forward all mail to people in site two to a different (kerio) mail server and they have their clients connected to that server. They experience periodicly delays in their e-mails. Days and even weeks for some mail. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this issue.

Output from Nltest /DsGetSite

D:\Excahnge2k7\Setup\ServerRoles\Common>Nltest /DsGetSite
DsGetSiteName failed: Status = 1919 0x77f ERROR_NO_SITENAME
So thats the issue ... Exchange cannot bind itself to a site
Did you check out those articles i gave you
Added excange domain servers to default DC policy

Output from Nltest /DsGetSite
D:\Excahnge2k7\Setup\ServerRoles\Common>Nltest /DsGetSite
Site1
The command completed successfully

Hope thsi did it. It will take som time to se if the error  shows up in the Event log

From Where shall i run dsuery server -isgc?
Is it likely that this error can be responsible for all the delays and strange behavior on some IMAP? (Mail is disappearing and comes back again)
Actualy it looks like Eventid 2142 is gone and replaced by 2604.
Event Type:      Error
Event Source:      MSExchange ADAccess
Event Category:      General
Event ID:      2604
Date:            16.12.2009
Time:            11:35:06
User:            N/A
Computer:      MAIL
Description:
Process MSEXCHANGEADTOPOLOGY (PID=4512). When updating security for a remote procedure call (RPC) access for the Exchange Active Directory Topology service, Exchange could not retrieve the security descriptor for Exchange server object MAIL - Error code=8007077f.  The Exchange Active Directory Topology service will continue with limited permissions.
Ideally its Exchange servers group for Exchange 2007 and Exchange Enterprise servers for Exchange 2003 .... Good that its gone ..
Look if Exchange cannot bind itself to a Site then its going to cause issues for sure its good that atleast Exchange was working had you rebooted or Restarted the services it would have gone down ...

(Mail is disappearing and comes back again) ??
Put this in the search string and look at those articles
"2604" MSExchange ADAccess "Error code=8007077f" (Search string for google\bing)
There is a very good site to test exchange connectivity.

https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/

Test the mail flow & it will give you complete detail like where is the delay & route for mail flow.

Smtpdiag is also a good tool.

I split the point here. It was several issues. I had some old sitenames in the dns. I upgraded it to SP2 and everything is working perfect now. Thanks for putting me in the right direction.
