Old VB application problem with decimal and dot

We have an old application written in VB. As the company which made this has stopped, we cannot call them for an solution.

The problem is that in Windows we do not have any problems with the dot/decimal on the numeric keyboard, because it detects the regional settings.
But the VB application keeps giving an dot instead of an decimal. It looks like it is not aware of the regional settings.

Is there an way we can change anything in the registry? Or maybe an other way?
