Try to open a Silverlight project on Visual Studio 2008 but I can't

I am trying to open a Silverlight project but I can't. I don't know what is missing or how should I open it.

The project is: SilverlightFileUploader.csproj

The problem is with .xaml files. Visual Studio 2008 can't recognize them.

I've got installed on my PC:
- Windows XP Professional, Visual Studio 2008 SP1, Framework 3.5
- Microsoft Silverlight
- Microsoft Silverlight 3 Toolkit November 2009
- Microsoft Web Platform Installer 2.0

I've downloaded the solution and project  from here:

I can't attach the project.

Could you please try to open it? Something is missing in my References, but I don't know what.

Many Thanks

    Accepted Solution

Looks like the same setup I have, and I was able to run the project, so I'm not sure.  Have you completed each of the steps on Silverlight's Getting Started page?

    Hi VBRocks.

    According  to, I've installed:

    - Web Platform Installer
    - Install Microsoft Expression Blend 3 + SketchFlow Trial
    - Install Deep Zoom Composer
    - Download Silverlight Toolkit

I haven't installed: Download .NET RIA Services, because it is in Beta.

I tried to load SilverlightFileUploader.csproj from scratch. I attach screen of my PC.
Sorry it's not in English, it's in Spanish, but you get the idea what is not working.

On the xaml files, the problem is that VS2008 doesn't  recognize:

    I put on my References:
    Where is located on:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Silverlight\3.0.40818.0\System.Windows.Browser.dll

Is there any other dll that I have to reference?

    Assisted Solution

Oh, yes...  The problem is you only have the "SilverlightFileUploader" project open.  You need to open the "FileUploaderExample.sln" solution.

Your Solution Explorer should look like the picture...

No, if I try to open FileUploaderExample.sln, then SilverlightFileUploade.csproj doesn't load at all.

I create a csproj empty and then copy programs and files from SilverlightFileUploade.csproj to my emtpy project. That's what you see at my Screen.jpg.

I attach Screen2.jpg and Screen3.jpg of whta happen when I attempt to load FileUploaderExample.sln

What do you have in References of SilverlightFileUploade.csproj?
