CRW32.exe error message when trying to open a Crystal Report

Hello Experts,
I am attempting to open a report that was created in version XI.  When I try to open the report, I get the following error message:
"crw32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I did not create this report and of course I can't even open it to see what's going on with it...any suggestions please?  Thanks.

Do you have another machine you can try to open it on?

You said the report was built in XI, but what version do you have installed? Is it lower? higher? the same?

I'm actually the one who is trying to open it for someone else...so it's been tried on different machines and we have the same versions of Crystal.
Hi J - so it was built in XI and you are trying to open it in XI? Just want to make sure the machines and the report are all the same.
Hi...yes...from what I can tell everything is the same.

These comments are helpful and I will use the suggestions, but since the author of the report that is experiencing the problem decided to re-create the report, I do not need any additional help with this issue at this time.  Thanks for your help!
