Remote control a Mac from a Windows PC

ok, upstairs, in the video booth, I have a Mac.  Downstairs, in my office, 4.7 million light years away, I work on a PC.  I need to remote into the Mac and work it from my desk lest I walk out of my shoes from repeated trips to and fro...

Dameware won't do it.

VNC?

RDP?

what?

I have done this with VNC and it works great.  It freaks my wife out when she walks by and sees the mouse moving by its self but hey it works.

Heres a link with a Step By Step how to.
