SQL0104N error unexpected token "!"

Getting the following message executing db2 attach command. The password has an exclamation mark at the end.

db2 -v attach to db2 USER db2admin USING Pass!
attach to db2 USER db2admin USING        !
SQL0104N  An unexpected token "!" was found following "<identifier>".
Expected tokens may include:  "NEW".  SQLSTATE=42601

Solved by placing the pass in single quotes 'Pass!'
