how to set up freepbx single language installation

How to setup a freepbx installatiion with a single language (not the default en setting). Further, how to instruct freepbx which sound format to use (ulaw/alaw, gsm, wav)

Dear aatjan,

I am not sure I got you right but in the asterisk I use, we have wrote an IVR script that is not in english. All I do is to specify the language in the dial plan in the extensions.conf. For example:

exten => 1234,1,Set(LANGUAGE()=fr)

Of course, before that I create a directory "fr" under "sounds" directory and I put the sounds there (default path: /var/lib/asterisk/sounds).

Regarding the codec type, you can specify the codecs in sip.conf under "general" part. For example:

disallow all
allow ulaw
allow alaw

I hope I helped.

Hi, I see indeed in the sounds directory an (eg) es directory. I see also other subdirectorys (eg.pb***) these directories must be cpied under the language directory?
