Opening True Basic .TRU file by double clicking

I have one user that just requested bringing in True Basic and even though he has experience using the program he is asking me why he can't just double click on a .TRU file to open it. The file can be opened from within True Basic but he finds this annoying. I've seen windows behave this way previously with another program some years ago.  Right clicking on the file I find that the Open With... option is not available.  Choosing Open brings up the Open With window but the Always use the selected program... option is not available. Is this a default setting with True Basic or is there a fix so that the user can just double click the file?

Start/Control Panel/Folder Options/File Types.  Scroll down to your .TRU extension, then click the Change button.  Browse to the folder that contains the True Basic exe file and click to select.  Click ok and test to see if it will work.

You can get "Open with..." by pressing Shift with the Right click. Even if you don't get "Open with..." and the file the Icon is of the below image type, it means you will eventually get the "Open With..." Dialog box when you click Open.

Just for your knowledge, a file with the below icon means, it is not registered to open with any program in Windows. Do as pointed out by lobo797 to get it registered in Windows and then it should open with the default program, truebasic as in your case.
